1. Who we are

WatchTheFrame (watchtheframe.com) is a catalog of film frames for cinephiles and filmmakers. For questions about this policy, contact us at: info@watchtheframe.com.

2. What data we collect

WatchTheFrame does not have user registration, does not process contact forms, and does not collect any personal data directly. The only data collected is through third-party analytics tools described below.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), loaded through Google Tag Manager (GTM-NZM6CG7S), to understand how visitors interact with the site. GA4 may collect:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring website or search engine
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Approximate geographic location (country/city level, derived from IP address)
  • Events such as clicks and scroll depth

This data is collected using cookies and similar technologies and processed by Google LLC. Google Analytics is only loaded after you consent to analytics cookies. If you decline, no tracking takes place.

Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, we process analytics data based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Manage cookies" in the footer.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. For the full list and details, see our Cookie Policy. A functional cookie (cookie_consent) is always set to remember your consent choice — this does not require your permission as it is strictly necessary for the site to function as you have requested.

5. Data retention

GA4 data is retained for 14 months by default (as configured in our Google Analytics property). Consent preference is stored in your browser's localStorage and persists until you clear browser data or change your preference.

6. Data transfers

Google Analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Google participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and provides appropriate safeguards under Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

  • Access – request a copy of personal data held about you.
  • Rectification – request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure – request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction – request we limit processing of your data.
  • Objection – object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Portability – receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent – at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@watchtheframe.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the EU, you can find your authority at edpb.europa.eu.

8. California residents (CCPA)

WatchTheFrame does not sell personal information. Analytics data collected through GA4 is used solely for our own analytics purposes and is not shared with third parties for advertising. California residents may contact us at info@watchtheframe.com to exercise rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

9. Children

WatchTheFrame is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
